President and Chief Financial Officer

Adam Salis

Adam Salis brings over 30 years of experience as a transactional real estate attorney, commercial real estate asset manager, broker and developer. His work experience includes positions as an acquisitions manager, special assets loan officer, REO portfolio manager and managing partner of a syndicate that owned and managed a portfolio of shopping centers located in Southern California.Mr. Salis is also a leading practitioner in the burgeoning field of healthcare real estate and has been involved in numerous transactions involving the leasing, purchasing, selling and financing of healthcare facilities, including hospitals, skilled nursing facilities and assisted living facilities. Mr. Salis previously served as a Senior Asset Manager with Archon Group, a wholly owned subsidiary of Goldman, Sachs & Company, where he managed a residential and commercial real estate portfolio of both debt and equity assets. Mr. Salis’ development experience includes the development of a 100 unit hybrid assisted living and memory facility in Whittier, California and a 115 unit hybrid assisted living and memory facility in Chino, California. During his tenure as a portfolio manager for Archon, he let various teams responsible for over $2 billion in distressed real estate debt and REO purchases.

Jonathan Grossman

Jonathan Grossman supervises all third-party asset management services for the firm. Mr. Grossman has more than 30 years of experience in commercial real estate finance, lending, debt and equity ventures, private client funds, asset management, asset management platform development, and property management. Mr. Grossman has worked on CMBS servicing, Special Servicing of both debt workouts and REO transactions, and distressed debt and equity acquisitions. In addition, Mr. Grossman oversaw the acquisition and management of opportunistic debt and equity products including whole loans, portfolios of loans and real estate, mezzanine products, joint ventures, and un-rated subordinate securities for Institutional Investors. Mr. Grossman has experience with real estate repositioning, leasing, and value add projects and has managed the acquisition and asset management activities of Archon Group (a Goldman Sachs subsidiary) in Latin America – Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Asia – Japan, Korea, and Thailand. Mr. Grossman has extensive workout experience and is a seasoned veteran with thorough due diligence, acquisition, and operational knowledge.

Adam Eisenberg

Adam Eisenberg leads the firm’s acquisition and development activities, including deal underwriting and due diligence. Prior to his work at Castle Rock, Mr. Eisenberg was the Vice President of Acquisitions and Development at BOLOUR, a full service real estate acquisition, lending and development firm based in Beverly Hills, California. In that role, Mr. Eisenberg oversaw all aspects of the acquisitions, development, and financing divisions of the company. During his career, Mr. Eisenberg has facilitated over $750 million worth of commercial real estate transactions.

Joseph “Zep” Puchalski

Zep Puchalski manages all construction activities for the firm’s owned and managed projects. A 30 year veteran of the industry, Mr. Puchalski is well-versed in facility form, function, finance/disbursements, means and methods, professional standards, industry customs, and dispute resolution. Mr. Puchalski’s involvement in a given project typically spans its full life cycle, from initial ideation through to completion and stabilization. Mr. Puchalski’s healthcare construction experience includes high-end medical office and clinical improvements, an MRI Facility, Kaiser Permanente medical offices, a two story MOB, a six story MOB with MRI Center and a three-level mixed use MOB complex with subterranean parking. Mr. Puchalski is a registered Architect, Licensed General Contractor, CMAA Certified Construction Manager, CA State Architect and Academy certified in Disabled Access.

Julian Goldberg

Julian Goldberg is nationally recognized as a leader in sourcing financing for Triple Net Leasebacks (NNN), having innovated several commonly used financial structures. In 1994, Mr. Goldberg co-founded Lease Back Partners (LBP). The firm focused on highly structured transactions, specifically triple net commercial real estate (LBP), and various esoteric and sovereign-related projects. The firm and its various partnerships financed and purchased 150 Walmart stores and became one of the largest purchasers of Wal-Marts in the US. Other corporate lessees include Albertson’s Corporation, Fred Meyer Corporation, K-Mart, all major regional or national players in the United States. Mr. Goldberg also has extensive experience in the life settlement market, having purchased $400 million of face value of senior life settlement insurance policies for various partnerships. Mr. Goldberg is the former head of the Los Angeles Institutional Bond Department for Shearson Hammill & Co. a New York Stock Exchange Co. servicing portfolios of Pension Funds, Commercial Banks, and Insurance Companies. He has worked on bond transactions for the State of California, City of San Francisco, and Los Angeles Department of Water & Power, to name a few.
